Description of Viewers for VIMSS Data Files
This document describes Web interfaces that are available for
viewing data and information about VIMSS experiments that
generated the data.
The best interfaces to start with are
Biofiles,
the
Experimental Data and Analysis Pipeline Summary page
(the "data and analysis PIPELINE" link), and the
Experimental Data Search interface
(the "SEARCH uploaded data" link).
The Biofiles Web interface, which is
password protected, lists files by template category and has
browse and query functions.
The Experimental Data and Analysis Pipeline Summary interface
was developed for searching for data sets in the VIMSS experimental
data repository that were not uploaded via Biofiles.
The interface supports three search keys: type of lab analysis,
organism, and stressor.
The Experimental Data and Analysis Pipeline Summary page lists
experimental workflows that began with biomass produced at LBNL.
Several of the other interfaces simply list
information that is in the databases that underlie the VIMSS
experimental data repository.
These include the list of organisms, sets of data that have
been entered into the data repository, and Data Upload Reports
that were created when data files were uploaded.
The Microarray Database, developed by
Katherine Huang,
displays the results (up-regulated genes, down-regulated genes,
plots) of analyzing microarray experiments
The last category contains interfaces that are specific to
data generated at LBNL.
These include the list of
LBNL biomass production
experiments that provides a summary of the organism, stressor, and
status of each experiment and has links to detailed information about each
experiment's design and to direct count data;
the
LBNL Hazen Lab Data Center
that has links to the list of organisms and also to the list of
biomass production experiments;
and the
LBNL phenotype microarray
experiment Web interface that
includes information about the phenotype microarrays, growth
curve plots, and generation time estimates.
