Interfaces for Viewing Omnilog Phenotype Microarray Data

There are several Web interfaces available for viewing Omnilog phenotype microarray (PM) data. Some of these interfaces are still being refined to improve their usefulness, and therefore, are accessible only from this page. Click on the links below to access the interfaces.

Primary interface for accessing Omnilog PM data. This interface provides access to treatment descriptions provided by Biolog and lists all Omnilog PM data sets that have been processed for viewing on-line. Treatment descriptions consist of chemical name, mode of action (MOA), MOA category, id of the chemical in the CAS (Chemical Abstract Service) Registry, and id of the chemical in KEGG (Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes). Growth curves and approximate generation times for individual wells may be displayed. In addition, data from two PM runs may be compared by plotting growth curves corresponding to the same plate and well on the same plot. Information is available on this page about the organisms used in the PM experiments.
Interface for displaying twelve growth curves (one plate row) at at time. Using this interface, users may select and display growth curves for one row of a plate for MT or PM run. All twelve plots for a single row are plotted on one page. New as of October 2006: you may select more than one dataset in order to compare responses for different MT or PM experiments and/or different strains. The growth curves for all datasets are plotted together. In addition, clicking on one of the small plots will open a new window that displays a larger version of the plot.
Interfaces for displaying growth curves as color maps. These interfaces display the growth curves for all 96 wells on a plate as thin, variably-colored horizontal lines. One interface displays plots for all plates for a single Omnilog PM experiment (i.e., a single organism). The other interface displays plots for a single type of plate and one or more Omnilog PM experiments (i.e., one or more organism). Each interface has two modes: a 'preview' mode that shows reduced-size images of the color-mapped versions of the growth curves; and a full-size display mode that shows the growth curves as distinct lines that when moused over, display tool tips with information about the treatment for the well, and that when clicked, on display a plot of the growth curve for that well in a new browser window.

One-time-only comparisons of a single wild-type Desulfovibrio vulgaris Hildenborough PM run (wt_run1_PM1-20) with an Omnilog MT (untreated plate) run and an anerobic-abiotic run also are available.
